V(-masu) + taiたい
The auxiliary i-adjective tai attaches to the stem of the masu form of a verb. Indicating someone's desire to do something, usually the speaker's if the sentence is declarative (a statement) and someone else's if it is interrogative (a question).
Ano akai jaketto ga/o kaitakatta.
I wanted to buy that red jacket.
Konban donna eiga ga/o mitai desu.
What kind of movie do you want to see tonight?
Kyō wa nani mo shitaku arimasen.
I don't want to do anything today.
