Japanese language 「Verbs」 「Vdic+koto ga aru ことがある」 ”There are times when.” The dictionary form verb koto ga aru・ことがある is used to express actions or events that occur sometimes. Examples: 余野さんは宴会で酔うことがある。 Yano-san wa enkai de you koto ga aru. There are times when Mr. Yano gets drunk at a banquet. 強いチームが負けることがある。 Tsuyoi chīmu ga makeru koto ga aru. There are times when strong teams are defeated (by a weak one). 友達と旅行することがある。 Tomodachi to ryokō suru koto ga aru. There are times when I travel with my friends.
