Examples: 電車に乗ろうとすると、ドアが閉まりました。 Densha ni norō to suru to, doa ga shimarimashita. Just as I was about to get on a train, the doors were closed. 食事を始めようとすると、電話がなりました。 Shokuji o hajimeyō to suru to, denwa ga narimashita. Just as I was about to start the meal, the telephone rang. 外出しようとすると、いつもだれか来る。 Gaishutsu shiyō to suru to, itsumo dare ka kuru. Just as I'm about to go out, someone always comes.
