Japanese Language 「Sentence Structure」 The particle ni when following a noun will indicate a point of entry for an action, or for the arrival of someone or something. Examples: 駅前でバスに乗ります。 Ekimae de basu ni norimasu. I get on the bus in front of the station. サムはもうすぐ柔道クラブに入る。 Samu wa mō sugu jūdo kurabu ni hairu. Sam will join (lit., enter) the judo club soon. ホワイトさんは今晩空港に着く。 Howaito-san wa konban kūkō ni tsuku. Mr. White will arrive at the airport this evening. Q: 急行はどのホームに着きますか。 Kyūkō wa dono hōmu ni tsukimasu ka. On which platform does the express (train) arrive? A: 6晩ほーむです。 Roku-ban hōmu desu. It's platform No. 6.
