Japanese Language 「Verbs」 「Vdic+karaから」 "because," "since," "so" Vdic kara is utilized to express a cause or reason personally interpreted by the speaker. The dictionary form (plain speech) is usually used in the subordinate clause. The masu form can also be used in the subordinate clause in exceedingly polite speech. (ex., 3) Examples: パレードが通るから、見に行きましょう。 Parēdo ga tōru kara, mi ni ikimashō. The parade will pass by, so let's go see it. 海が見えるから、この部屋を選びました。 Umi ga mieru kara, kono heya o erabimashita. I chose this room because I can see the ocean (from here). 両親が安心する・しますから、毎週電話します。 Ryōshin ga anshin suru/shimasu kara, maishū denwa shimasu. Because my parents feel relieved, I call them every week.
