Japanese Language 「Adjectives and Adverbs」 「Adj te + mo ii~てもいい」 "It is all right if" The te for of an i- or na-adjective followed by mo ii will indicate someone's conceding of something. Examples: 部屋は狭くてもいいですか。 Heya wa semakute mo ii desu ka. Is it all right if the room is small? このスーツにはネクタイは派手でもいいですよ。 Kono sūtsu ni wa nekutai wa hade de mo ii desu yo. For this suit, it's all right if the tie is flashy, I tell you. 誕生日のプレゼントは高価でなくてもいい。 Tanjōbi no purezento wa kōka de nakute mo ii. It's all right if the birthday present isn't expensive.
