「Tachimachi・たちまち」
"at once," "in no time," "suddenly"

Tachimachi is used to indicate something happening quickly or abruptly. It is not used when the speaker's volition is involved.

Examples:
あのロックシンガーのコンサートの切符はたちまち売り切れた。
Ano rokku shingā no konsāto no kippu wa tachimachi urikireta.
Tickets to that rock star's concert sold out in no time.

その薬を飲むと、たちまち頭痛が治った。
Sono kusuri o nomu to, tachimachi zutsū ga naotta.
When I took the medicine, my headache went away immediately.

黒い雲がたちまち空に広がった。
Kuroi kumo ga tachimachi sora ni hirogatta.
Dark clouds suddenly spread across the sky.

”Shall I~"

Vvol ka expresses first person invitation or suggestion by asking in the plain style of speech.

Examples:
本田さんをピクニックに誘おうか。
Honda-san o pikunikku ni sasoō ka.
Shall we invite Ms. Honda to the picnic?

あそこに車を止めようか。
Asoko ni kuruma o tomeyō ka.
Shall I park the car over there?

私がバザーの売り上げを計算しようか。
Watashi ga bazā no uriage o keisan shiyō ka.
Shall I calculate the proceeds of the bazaar?

「Sentence Structure」

The negative form of a verb, followed by the particle de and kudasai, expresses a negative request or command ("please don't...") directed at a social equal or subordinate.

Examples:
電車の中で携帯電話を使わないでください。
Dernsha no naka de keitai denwa o tsukawanai de kudasai.
Please don't use your cell phones on the train.

寒いから窓を開けないでください。
Samui kara mado o akenai de kudasai.
It's cold, so please don't open the window.

この書類はまだ捨てないでください。
Kono shorui wa mada sutenai de kudasai.
Please don't throw away the papers yet.

「Sa・さ」

1.Softens assertion. Used mostly by men.
明日の高橋さんのパーティーには、もちろん行くさ。
Ashita no Takahashi-san no pātī ni wa, mochiron iku sa.
I'm going to Takahashi's party tomorrow, of course.

それより、こっちのセーターの方が大きいさ。
Sore yori, kotchi no sētā no hō ga ōkii sa.
This sweater's bigger than that one, I’d say.

2.Indicates a critical response to something.
あんな無能な社員を入れるから、会社が伸びないのさ。
Anna munō na shain o ireru kara, kaisha ga nobinai no sa.
It's because they hire incompetent people like him, that the company doesn't grow.

あの人のやりそうなことさ。
Ano hito no yarisō na koto sa.
It's something he would do.
「It's just like him.」

「Tadachi ni・ただちに」
”Immediately," "at once"

Tadachi ni expresses someone's doing something immediately in response to an event. It suggests urgency and is used, for example, when an emergency occurs.

Examples:
林さんが倒れたので、ただちに救急車を呼んだ。
Hayashi-san ga taoreta node, tadachi ni kyūkyūsha o yonda.
Mr. Hayashi collapsed, so we called for an ambulance immediately.

火災警報で学生はただちに建物のそとに出た。

Kasai keihō de gakusei wa tadachi ni tatemono no soto ni deta.
At the (sound of the) fire alarm, the students immediately got out of the building.

Vvol expresses first person volition, invitation, or suggestion in a plain style of speech.

Examples:
午後図書館で本を読もう。
Gogo toshokan de hon o yomō.
I'll read a book in the library this afternoon.

このパイを四つに分けよう。
Kono pai o yottsu ni wakeyō.
Let's divide the pie in four.

私がお客さんを会場へ安愛しよう。
Watashi ga o-kyaku-san o kaijō e annai shiyō.
I'll lead the visitors to the assembly hall.
