That is right folks, Yakuza Kiwami finally has a summer 2017 release date in the west, and its 29, August. Personally that is a bit late in the season, but as long as it gets released in the west I am not going to complain! Now, to those of you wondering; yes, Kiwami is a remake of the first game in the series, however, do not let that simple fact stop you from playing this game. This is because the two games while similar in story arcs, with what was added to the gameplay are vastly different experiences. The sheer amount of added content to this game is somewhat staggering in comparison to the original release on the PS2 in 2005, while it is of course side content that was added, the breadth and depth of the content is something that adds a great deal of replay opportunities to this game. If you missed this game when it originally released, then this is the perfect time to pick it up and start from the original beginning of the series (though with Yakuza 0 this is canonically the second game now) which continues from Yakuza 0 in 1995, (six years later). For those who haven't played the game at all, it won't be spoiled here. Today they released a story trailer for the game, if you want to watch it I will leave a link at the bottom. This is an exciting development for fans of Yakuza and also people who enjoy playing Japanese games, because if we can get this series released, maybe that means we can work towards getting others released outside of Asia finally. ~Koyuuki Aihara Youtube Video- www.youtube.com/watch?v=9AJ0amYg--8&t=5s
